The Kickstarter Campaign

Thank you!

We are absolutely delighted with the success of our Red Reactor Kickstarter campaign, and want to thank you all for your support in registering, pledging for our rewards, the generous bonuses and the fantastic feedback we’ve had.

It has been a wonderful journey, and especially rewarding as your questions have led us to explore and learn about new technologies in areas such as home automation that just go to show how creative this community really is. We truly hope that the Red Reactor will make a difference to your next project!

Now we will start the next phase of our program, gathering all the information we need from those of you who pledged on our campaign, and contact our suppliers to get production underway. We will send out the reward surveys soon, and we’ll follow up with regular updates or in case we missed an important question!

Coming soon! Pre-order options

The Red Reactor will be available in 2 versions, which gives you the freedom to choose the best solution for your own projects.
In both cases, the board has standard 2.54mm pitch 2-pin mounting holes for each of the Vin, Button, Run and Vout ports allowing you to directly solder to external devices.

We will also be making our customer pogo-pins available to order as well!

Batteries are not included as you will undoubtedly have your own preferences here.

All shipments are tracked to ensure reliable delivery.

Option #1 Red Reactor with Pogo Pins

Kickstarter Red Reactor Reward - with pogo pins
The Pogo Pin version provides a solderless connection to your Raspberry Pi, slotting neatly underneath it with the stand-offs provided. For lower current applications you can just use the micro-USB connector to supply external power, or solder directly to the Vin port if you prefer.

Option #2 Headerless Red Reactor (no Pogo Pins), for other use cases

Kickstarter Red Reactor Reward - no pogo pins
The Headerless version does not come with Pogo Pins, and is provided in case you prefer a different way of attaching the Red Reactor, e.g. if you have a height constraint, wish to use a different GPI port for the button interrupt or connect it to other Single Board Computers with a different pin out.
